1. Longer Hours in the Ugli
The average day of a University student is hectic, full of meetings, work, homework assignments and much more. If the Undergrad Library remained open for a 24 hour period, it would greatly respect the average schedule of a University Student. If the Undergrad Library remained open 24 hours during the week, it would allow another 24 hour study site on central campus besides the Angell Hall Fishbowl, which does not always necessarily fit a great number of people looking to study all night.
2. Improve Campus Safety.
Nationally, there have been many scares on college campuses dealing with shootings and other ways of violence. After these incidences it is only fair to insure campus safety. My job will be finding an accurate way promote and increase campus safety. Some ideas for improving campus safety includes: adding more lighting at various areas around campus, making sure there is security out at all hours of the night, increasing the amount of emergency phones throughout the campus, passing out key chains with information or important emergency numbers.
3. Change Student Allocated Printing
I would like to change the printing allotment for students because with increasing online resources, students are required more and more to print things off on their own to bring to class. Currently, students are being charged for two pages when printing off papers that are double-sided. Not every student chooses to print double-sided, and it required to print one sided for most essays, so by changing it so that students are only charged for one paper when choosing to use both sides would not hurt the university, and would be more beneficial for students.
